I feel like a true child of the 80’s and still listen to Depeche Mode and The Smiths often. I am from many places and from nowhere in particular: born in Austin, Texas, I then grew up in the untamed landscape of Alaska (Kodiak Island, Fairbanks, and Anchorage) as well as the beautiful coast of Southern California (the borderlands of San Diego) and Santa Barbara. I have called Texas home for eight years and counting.

I am an assistant professor of Literacy Studies at U.T. Arlington.
